Margarita Baez, LPC
Therapy at MBN Counseling is centered on understanding the whole person. Emotional struggles do not exist in isolation. They are shaped by relationships, transitions, stress, identity, culture, and life experiences. Sessions are collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on helping you feel more empowered and aligned in your daily life.
Clients often seek therapy here because they are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others.
MBN Counseling supports adults who may be experiencing:
- Persistent feelings of sadness or low mood
- Relationship difficulties or recurring conflict patterns
- Stress related to work, caregiving, or life responsibilities
- Life transitions such as career changes, separation, or identity shifts
- Low self-esteem or self-doubt
- Grief and loss
- Feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or unsure of next steps
My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. I take time to understand your experiences and tailor therapy to your specific needs, goals, and values.
I am especially passionate about supporting women navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and periods of emotional overwhelm. I also provide culturally sensitive care and offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
In my work with clients, I focus on helping you:
- Gain insight into the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
- Develop healthier coping strategies for stress and emotional challenges
- Strengthen self-esteem and confidence
- Improve communication and relationship dynamics
- Navigate life transitions with clarity and intention
- Build emotional resilience and self-compassion
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and occasionally following sports. I value authenticity, connection, and growth, both personally and professionally, and I strive to bring those values into the therapy space.
I draw from evidence-based and client-centered approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Humanistic and Person-Centered frameworks. I also incorporate sandtray techniques when appropriate to support insight and emotional expression.
Therapy may involve exploring patterns from the past, building practical coping tools, strengthening emotional awareness, and learning how to respond differently to stress and challenges in the present.
This practice may be a good fit if you are looking for:
- A supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship
- Thoughtful, individualized care
- A therapist who values both insight and practical tools
- In-person therapy in a calm, professional setting
